it started with the frustration of searching for a harness… and later a coat… nothing correctly fitted annie our dog... if it was not proportionate in the back length to the side length, the tummy straps wrapped around her twice… we were forever tailoring shop products to fit... several alterations later… we took out a sketch pad, purchased some material to Annie’s liking, cut out a pattern and put it under the sewing machine.

word spread… annie quickly became a ‘dog walk’ model... we loved designing and sewing custom made dog harnesses and dog coats for our friends… made coordinating collars and leads… and our passion and love for dog couture created the mutts hut... and as the saying goes… the rest is history!
